Which WBBF Division is Right for You? A Guide to Women’s Contest Criteria and Posing

Thinking about stepping on stage with the World Beach Body Federation (WBBF)? The WBBF offers a range of women’s divisions, each with unique judging criteria focused on aesthetics, muscle tone, and overall presentation. Whether you’re aiming for a graceful, photogenic look or a strong, athletic physique, understanding the criteria for each division is key to choosing the right one for you.

Beach Bikini

2 Piece Bikini

  • Off the Rack Beach Bikini

  • Solid or Multicolored.

  • No Rhinestones.

  • Cheeky, “V” Cut, Med to Full Coverage. Wide Variety is acceptable.

  • No string thong or overt thong. Must be general public acceptable.


Shoes

  • Clear Heels


Jewelry

  • Jewelry is acceptable, but not required.

  • No props or hats.


Posing Routine


Judging Criteria

  • Judges will be looking for a toned, healthy Beach Body.  This includes overall appearance, shape, symmetry, condition of the skin.  The “It Factor” will be included in the assessment, including stage presence. This is not a muscle division. The competitor should be lean and tone, but competitors considered too muscular or excessively lean will be marked down. The judge’s assessment of the competitor will include the competitor’s entire presentation, from the moment they walk on stage, until they walk off stage. 

Fit Bikini

2 Piece Bikini

  • Rhinestone Bikini Competition suit.

  • Standard Bikini Competition Cut – “V” Cut – Pro Cut allowed.

  • No string thong or overt thong. Must be General Public acceptable.


Shoes

  • Clear Heels


Jewelry

  • Jewelry is acceptable, but not required.

  • No props or hats.


Posing Routine


Judging Criteria

  • Judges will be looking for a toned, healthy Fit Bikini Body. This division would be like the Bikini division in other organizations. This includes some level of muscle and leanness, with roundness of glutes. Judges will also be looking for overall appearance, shape, symmetry, condition of the skin. The “It Factor” will be included in the assessment, including stage presence. This is not a muscle division. The competitor should be lean and toned, but competitors considered too muscular, or excessively lean will be marked down. The judge’s assessment of the competitor will include the competitor’s entire presentation from the moment they walk on stage, until they walk off stage.

Athletic Bikini

2 Piece Bikini

  • Off the Rack Beach Bikini

  • Solid or Multicolored.

  • Judges will be looking for a toned, healthy Athletic Beach Body.  This includes overall appearance, shape, symmetry, condition of the skin.  The “It Factor” will be included in the assessment, including stage presence.  Judges are looking for fit & shapely muscle.  Emphasis will be placed on symmetry of upper body & lower body, front to back overall symmetry.  We are looking for tone fit muscle.  This is not an excessive muscle division. The competitor should be lean and tone, with some muscle, but competitors considered too muscular or excessively lean will be marked down. The judge’s assessment of the competitor will include the competitor’s entire presentation, from the moment they walk on stage, until they walk off stage.

Curvy Beach Body

2 Piece Bikini or 1 Piece Swimsuit

  • Off the Rack Swimsuit. Solid or Multicolored. No Rhinestones. Cheeky, “V” Cut, Med to Full Coverage. Wide Variety is acceptable. No string thong or overt thong. Must be general public acceptable.

The “It Factor” will be included in the assessment, including stage presence. This is not a muscle division. The judge’s assessment of the competitor will include the competitor’s entire presentation, from the moment they walk on stage, until they walk off stage.

Elegance Evening Wear

Long Formal Evening Wear

  • Must be General Public acceptable.  Nothing overtly revealing.

Shoes

  • Heels


Jewelry

  • Jewelry is acceptable, but not required.

  • No props or hats.

  • Judges will be looking for overall appearance, lean & toned balance, shape, symmetry and condition of the skin. Judging will include how the choice of dress compliments your body.  The “It Factor” will be included in the assessment, including stage presence. This is not a muscle division. The judge’s assessment of the competitor will include the competitor’s entire presentation, from the moment they walk on stage, until they walk off stage.

Curvy Elegance Evening Wear
